I’m Manuela and I’m here to welcome you in the wonderful home of Kasa Kala.
The Kasa Kala project started in 2015 when, after my experience in the tourism sector around Europe, I decided to follow my passion for the city of Palermo by creating this network of flats with a tourist leasing & business sector formula, which both have in common Sicily’s welcoming approach, for which it stands out all over the world
The capital of ancient kingdoms and cradle of distant civilizations, Palermo is iconic of Sicilian history and culture. A city where art and modernity blend with myth and tradition. A town with many faces and contradictions: European and Mediterranean, Arab and Norman, home to the autonomous Sicilian Parliament and a symbol of the unification of Italy. The many faces of the same coin that for centuries have fascinated tourists and visitors through monuments, palaces, castles, fountains and theatres of rare beauty.
Precisely contradictions make this land unique, make Sicilians unique in the world. We bear the signs of all the invaders that over the years set their minds on conquering this beautiful island. If you ask me about my Palermo, my Sicily, I can only come up with these words:
Colours, aromas, flavours, street food, dialects, churches, palaces, museums, streets, fountains, customs and traditions, passionate and warm people, solidarity, altruism, generosity, warmth, sun, sea, joy, smiles in the face of adversity, people who fight till the end for their dreams, stubborn, arrogant and yet incredibly warm-hearted and with arms so wide that they can embrace anyone who falls in love with this land together with us…
..Palermo is truly unique: our heart, a loving mother and a daughter with a wild temperament.
There is a poem I want to share with you by a true representative of the towns’ spirit that fully reflects what Palermo means to its people: even if one day life will turn you away from her… she will never turn away from you.
